NO PEACE HERE

Michael Jenkins' life shattered the day his teenage son, Malachi, was killed in a way that defied logic or mercy. Refusing to accept the official lie, Michael spends months hunting for the truth on his own, a solitary pursuit that drags him into the crosshairs of the Department of Transition—a shadow agency operating behind the beige walls of a mundane municipal office. The Department doesn't murder, they say; they "prune." They stage accidents, rewrite inspection reports, and alter local databases to eliminate specific people in service of a chilling calculus meant to save others from a force they refer to as The Ethereal.Michael sets out to fight against the injustices of cosmic bureaucracy. He eventually discovers and aligns himself with an underground resistance group before a direct encounter with The Ethereal—the ancient, unnatural being orchestrating these deaths from the dark. Guided by Mara, a fellow grieving parent within the faction, Michael joins their desperate, coordinated efforts to expose the conspiracy in the hopes of eventually stopping The Department of Transition and The Ethereal. Michael is pushed to his absolute limits, forced to navigate the ethical void between survival and vengeance, and decide how far a father will go when faced with insurmountable circumstances.
